Dungeness Recreation Area is a 230-acre county owned park located South of the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge in Washington. The site has stunning views to the Olympics mountain range and out across the Strait of Juan de Fuca up to the Dungeness Spit.
Clallam County engaged GreenWorks to begin preparation of a long-range Master Plan for the Dungeness Recreation Area. The Final Master Plan document includes Inventory and Research, Site Analysis, Programming, Draft Conceptual Plan, and the preparation of the Final Master Plan documents. The Master Plan will meet community needs and protect sensitive natural resources. The plan calls for expanded overnight and day use facilities, a new visitor contact station, expanded camping facilities, an enlarged picnic area overlooking the bluff, and an extended trails network.
