Role at GreenWorks:
Robin
is a project manager and landscape designer with thirteen years of
experience in institutional, civic, and residential design. Her varied
experience in the civic and the academic arenas allow her to facilitate
communication between designers, planners, and specialists on projects
that explore the edge between preservation and development. She has
expertise in the development of projects from conceptual design,
construction documentation, construction administration and
installation through her experience of maintaining her own private
practice. She is inspired by the interface between the civic and the
ecologic realm which provides an opportunity to create spaces that
entertain, enlighten, and educate.
Why I work here:
After
two years of academia and nine years of private practice, I knew that I
wanted to be in a strong, creative collective of people who thought
bioswales and porous paving were the coolest thing since sliced Ken’s
bread. After attending the firm’s staff retreat in the Opal Creek
Ancient Forest Preserve, I realized I was in the company of 15 people
who were bigger plant geeks than myself. I felt right at home.
Greenworks has exceeded all my expectations in what a firm of
conscientious colloborateurs can accomplish and achieve.
